The superman push-up requires explosive strength and may be one of the toughest push-up variations to perform.

How to perform a superman push-up

Start in the regular push-up position, with your hands at shoulder width. Go down, explode upward and throw your hands out forward, as though you are Superman flying through the air. Once your arms are up in the air, pull up your back legs as well, so that your body is completely airborne and parallel with the ground.

Before you start with the superman push-up you may try the clapping push-up first.
